Beautiful Brows through Threading

Many women maintain their perfect eyebrows by practicing some form of hair removal. Tweezing is popular, as is waxing. Some women combine the two by having their brows professionally waxed every few weeks, and doing their own touch-ups with a pair of tweezers between visits. Another option to consider is threading.

Threading is a technique that has been practiced in India and the Middle East since antiquity, and is still the most popular hair removal method in those parts of the world today. An expert removes hairs by using a double strand of cotton thread to twist around the hairs, pulling them out from the follicle. The method is highly accurate when used by a skilled practitioner, and entire rows of hair can be removed in a single, absolutely straight line. The accuracy and precision of threading are only two of its multiple benefits however.

While threading by a professional can be as fast (or faster than) getting one’s eyebrows waxed, thereby giving it a considerable advantage over tweezing, it is also a much more comfortable procedure than waxing. Additionally, because threading does not involve applying heat or using adhesion on the skin, those who have skin too sensitive to tolerate waxing may find threading to be the perfect alternative.
